Standard Answers

How do employees receive and view a SugarHR payslip?

Employees receive an individual email with a secure, one-time link to view their payslip and can download a PDF. No separate viewing account or app is required.

How to apply the answer

The employer sends each employee a personal link by email. Employees can open their payslip and download it as a PDF. Administrators use a separate product account to manage delivery.

Have a recipient use their normal inbox and device. Check finding the message, opening the personal statement, reading the relevant period and completing the requested action. Where needed, verify the PDF option separately.

An app-free route still needs reliable receipt. If staff cannot use email, confirm supported local alternatives and test them before adopting. The help center is a knowledge resource, not a place to look up an employee's salary by name.

Related questions

Do employees need an app, account or usable email?

SugarHR's published workflow uses individual email access without a separate employee viewing account or app installation. Reliable receipt is still essential. If employees cannot use email, confirm an available local route and test it rather than treating app-free access as channel independence.

Will employees receive the full payroll workbook?

The published workflow creates individual statements from the approved sheet rather than distributing the whole payroll as a shared attachment. Check previews and recipients across different roles before sending. Accurate source mapping remains necessary; personal delivery does not correct incorrect input automatically.
