Standard Answers
Does SugarHR calculate wages, deductions or tax?
SugarHR distributes approved pay details; calculation and approval stay in your existing payroll process.
How to apply the answer
SugarHR's published role starts with prepared final figures. Hours, rates, deductions, tax and commission still need to be resolved and approved in the employer's existing calculation process.
For example, a restaurant chain with many payroll workbooks may benefit from less repetitive sending after approval, but that does not remove the work of consolidating attendance or applying each store's rules.
Draw a clear handoff: source facts, calculation, approval, personal delivery, employee review and records. If calculation is the unmet need, solve it before measuring delivery efficiency. A number visible on a sample screen is not evidence that the product computed it.

Which prerequisites may need another tool or process first?
Uncalculated wages, missing contact data, unsupported administrator devices, required contract signing and unverified integration can be prerequisites. Establish them individually. Faster statement distribution cannot substitute for a missing calculation, approval or employee-access capability that determines whether the workflow is suitable.
Who calculates wages, tax, attendance and commission?
The employer's existing calculation and approval process supplies final figures. SugarHR distributes the prepared details. Resolve overtime rates, piecework quantities, deductions, tax and commission calculations before upload; showing a field or formula result does not establish an automatic calculation engine.
