First-send and employee experience checklist
Use this checklist to verify the first send across all the people who will operate the process. Each person should complete their own task rather than watch somebody else do it.
Sender readiness
- Approved file, intended employer, period and recipients are confirmed.
- The selected employee route is usable in the relevant location.
- Acknowledgment instructions match the actual setting.
- A test send is clearly separated from the first live payroll.
Employee test
- The employee finds the personal message in their own inbox.
- The statement opens on the device normally available to them.
- They recognize their name, period and relevant pay details.
- They can review before the requested action.
- The chosen acknowledgment can be completed independently.
- Any needed PDF or history option is checked rather than assumed.
Administrator and finance test
- The correct account and batch can be located again.
- Delivery, opening and acknowledgment are interpreted separately.
- An intentional test error has a supported correction path.
- A retrieved record can be opened and compared with the approved source.
| Check | Result | Observed evidence | Owner | Retest date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Example: independent employee access | Not assessed | Record an actual observation | Assign internally | Set when needed |
Select ready, needs further testing or not suitable under the current conditions. One successful employee is not proof that a materially different file, device or workforce group will work.
